How to identify the quality of PPR pipes?
"See" appearance
Color, good PP-R pipes have a soft, uniform color and no noise.
"Touch" texture
Good PP-R pipes are 100% made of PP-R raw materials (without any additives) with pure texture, smooth surface and soft hand feel. Fake PPR pipes have smooth hand feel. Generally speaking, rough particles are likely to be mixed with impurities;
"Smell" the smell
The main material of PPR pipes is polypropylene. Good pipes have no smell, while bad pipes have a strange smell. It is likely that they are mixed with polyethylene instead of polypropylene;
"pinch" hardness
PPR pipes have considerable hardness, and pipes that can be pinched and deformed are definitely not PP-R pipes;
"Measure" wall thickness
In addition, you can use a vernier caliper to measure whether the pipe wall thickness is up to standard and uniform. Generally, good pipes are produced strictly in accordance with national standards, but this method requires a certain understanding of the national standards for PPR pipes.
"Listen" to the sound
The sound of PPR pipes falling to the ground is dull, while the sound of fake PPR pipes falling to the ground is crisper.
"Smash" elasticity
A good PPR pipe has good "resilience" and is not a good PPR pipe if it is easily smashed. However, no matter how good the PPR pipe is when the temperature is below 10 degrees, it can be smashed. However, strong hardness does not mean good elasticity. Some manufacturers increase the hardness by adding too much impurities such as calcium carbonate. "Burning" smoke smell
PP-R pipes whose raw materials are mixed with recycled plastic and other impurities will emit black smoke and have a pungent smell. And good materials will not emit black smoke and have no smell after burning. After burning, the melted liquid will still be very clean. (You can also "pull" to see the "length" of the pull)

The normal welding temperature during welding of PP-R pipes is in the range of 260-290℃. The welding quality will be better guaranteed during welding in this temperature range. If the welding parameters are under normal welding parameters, the product can easily enter the welding die during welding. Moreover, if the welding buildup is close to liquid, it means that the product is not made of authentic PP-R raw materials. At the same time, if the welding buildup can be quickly cooled and hardened (usually within 10 seconds), it also means that the product is not made of authentic PP-R raw materials. This is because one of the characteristics of PP-R is that it has better thermal insulation effect, and its cooling rate will naturally be slower.
Check whether the inner diameter of the pipe is deformed and whether the pipe fittings are drawn. Good PPR pipes cannot be drawn and the inner diameter is not easily deformed.
